A calmer, clearer website for a Perth yoga school
Body Mind Yoga Perth runs gentle yoga classes in Churchlands, North Beach, South Perth and online. Oria Digital redesigned and rebuilt the site on WordPress so the owners can update classes, term dates, prices and audio recordings themselves, and moved it across without losing the old site’s addresses.

The challenge
The information a new student needs was spread across the site: what to bring, what to expect and what to do sat on three separate pages, prices differed between pages, and the free audio library had recordings hidden behind empty or broken links. Every change to class times or term dates meant editing several pages by hand.
The goal
Make it easy for someone new to find a class near them and send an enquiry, and make it easy for the owners to keep classes, terms, prices and recordings up to date without touching page layouts.
Strategy
- Put the first-class questions in one place: a single Your First Class page
- Store classes, venues, term dates and prices once, and let every page that shows them update automatically
- Turn the audio library into a managed collection with categories, teachers and lengths
- Keep every old address working, so existing links and search rankings carry over
What was built
- A custom WordPress theme with a calm, accessible design that works on any phone
- Class timetable filtered by venue, driven by one list of classes and venues
- Term dates and prices managed in one settings screen, shown on the timetable, first-class and prices pages
- Free audio library with categories, featured recordings and card artwork
- Sound healing sessions that list themselves and drop off the day after they run
- Enquiry form that saves every enquiry in the admin, with a status and staff notes
- Redirects from retired pages to their replacements, and SEO titles and descriptions on every page
Technology
- WordPress
- Custom theme
- Custom plugin
- Elementor (homepage)
- Yoast SEO
- Schema.org events
Key decisions
- Bank details are no longer published on the site; they’re sent once a place is confirmed
- Enquiries are saved in WordPress before any email is sent, so none are lost to a mail failure
- No street address in the structured data, because classes run in hired venues
- Location pages stay unpublished until there is real local detail to put on them
Result
Live at bodymindyogaperth.com.au. Before launch, all 192 public addresses on the old site were mapped: news posts and pages keep their address, retired pages redirect to their replacement, and the 92 files the content links to kept their paths. No traffic or enquiry figures are published here; they’ll be added once they’re measured and the client agrees.
Lessons and next steps
- Content the owners change every term belongs in structured fields, not in page layouts
- Mapping the old site’s addresses before building saves the launch
- Next: Google Search Console, analytics, and local class pages once venue details are confirmed
